Erika's Story: Bueno mi versión de la historia que empecé a vivir al conocer Garth… fue algo muy diferente, pues en ese momento yo no buscaba el amor. Las cosas se fueron dando poco a poco. Garth es una persona inteligente, creo que la vida nos da una oportunidad única de conocernos y dios no da el don de la vida…. Hemos tenido que aprender ambos a tener paciencia, por que? Esta relación es diferente a todas, pues no estamos juntos 100% como una parejera normal, eso hace que valore mas el amor de Garth y su esfuerzo para estar conmigo siempre… Ahora se que el amor verdadero existe y lo encontré con Garth… no se realmente que nos tenga deparada la vida en un futuro a los dos .. Pero hemos hecho realidad uno de nuestros sueños… la primera vez que lo vi. Sentí algo muy hermoso dentro de mi era una emoción indescriptible, fue algo mágico para mi, al ver sus ojos encontré al hombre mas maravillo del mundo para mi… Se que como todos los seres humanos tenemos defectos y virtudes y que hemos tenido errores a lo largo de nuestras vidas. Pero eso nos hace valorar más la vida y ser mejores personas cada dia… Siempre pensé que las historias de amor solo sucedían en las películas románticas y en los cuentos de hadas… Nuestra historia paso fronteras e idioma…ahora para nosotros no existen obstáculos cuando hay un verdadero amor entre los dos… no a terminado nuestra historia en esta carta, continuara a lo largo de nuestra vida por siempre Garth y Erika. Garth's Story: Our story is not like other stories. In the age of technology it presents another venue for people to meet and fall in love. Here is our story... I was not looking for love at that time so my wall to my heart was completely down. I remember thinking to myself that there is no way Erika and I could develop feelings for each other without knowing the other's language. We got to know a little about where the other lives and I remember telling her that I live in the country. She commented that she loved tranquil places. Before I knew it, we were planning a time to visit with each other and meet in person. Events were happening in our lives that made the other realize that life was short. Losing people close to you will give you different perspectives on life. Somewhere in the middle of all of this, we fell in love. I sent her a photo of myself holding a sign saying "Te Quiero Erika!" I received an email with a photo of her saying "I Love You Much Garth!" Nothing warmed my heart more than that gesture. It has not been an easy road not spending a lot of time with each other, but literally every night we are talking with each other and seeing each other by webcam. December 26, 2007, I flew to Ensenada, Mexico. The very first moment our eyes connected on that day, we knew. It was magical, special, and unbelievable. Truly something out of a Hollywood script, like "You've Got Mail!" I believe that we make mistakes in life and we learn from them. No one is perfect, but one thing is for sure, that Erika Romero Cano is perfect for me in every way.
